The Lost Petal

Standard

Drained by its own roots
The pale coral petal cut itself off
With grave pain
Carried by the warm breeze
It wandered
Places, people
Smiles, smirks
The petal felt more lost than ever
The breeze died down
The petal descended
Down it fell
It landed
And found itself lying on comfy warmth
Warmth originated from the heart of the little prince
Slowly turning crimson
The lost petal found its place
